Choose a comfortable response and keep Freeze and Visuals Off reachable. Bright or moving visuals can still be intense.

Where to find it

Mac

Settings › Accessibility & Safety: Reduce interface motion and Limit intense flashes. Performance Cues contains Freeze and Blackout.

iPhone and iPad

Settings › Safety explains Freeze and Visuals Off. Performance Cues contains both; rendering and response controls can lower intensity.

How it works

  1. On Mac, Reduce interface motion changes interface transitions, not the world’s choreography. Limit intense flashes caps highlight and EDR intensity.
  2. Lower Global intensity and the active world’s motion or brightness controls if the scene feels too strong. Available controls differ by world.
  3. Freeze holds the visual. Visuals Off / Blackout hides it. Pause Session also suspends rendering and analysis. VoiceOver labels identify icon-only controls.

Tips

Flash limiting does not guarantee photosensitivity safety. iPhone and iPad do not currently expose the Mac flash-limiting toggle. Choose suitable visuals and keep a quick way to hide them.
