Find a Control
The icon guide matches the controls you see in Live. The library, app settings, and active-world customization have different jobs.
Where to find it
Mac
Library at the left; Settings in the sidebar; customization wrench at the top right; performance controls beneath the visual.
iPhone and iPad
Library button at the top left; customization wrench at the top right; Settings gear in the performance controls beneath the visual.
How it works
- The library button shows Live Set and Custom Visuals. Select, include, exclude, search, or reorder worlds there.
- Playback Adjustments contains Adaptive, Ordered, Hold, Pause Session, change timing, and Quality Profile.
- The lightning icon opens Performance Cues. Presentation contains full screen, audience-display controls, and AirPlay instructions.
- The wrench changes the active world and saved looks. The gear opens app settings for audio, rendering, output, and help.
Find a Control
- Live Set and Play Now
- Live Set controls the worlds available to automatic playback. Play Now changes immediately; Queue Next reserves the next transition.
- Playback and Journeys
- Each world has its own authored chapters. Automatic changes and musical cues are separate from the progression inside a world.
- Performance Cues
- Use musical cues to shape a moment without changing the audio. These controls do not pause or control playback in Apple Music.
- Full Screen, Displays, and AirPlay
- Full screen fills this display. Audience Output sends a clean visual to another display and keeps the controls on the device.
- Customization and Saved Looks
- The wrench shapes the active world. Saved looks keep your changes reusable in Custom Visuals; they do not create subscription access.
- Audio Input
- Choose the sound the analyzer hears. Source selection and permission affect capture; response controls affect what happens after sound arrives.
Tips
In narrow layouts some controls show only an icon. Their accessible labels still name the action. Help links open the relevant topic.
